On April 22nd we celebrated our 50th Earth day! Gaylord Nelson established this day as a National holiday in 1970 to raise awareness and support for environmental protection. Since then, the event has been globally recognized and over 190 countries participate by hosting activities and rallies to celebrate our planet and ensure its health and well-being for eons to come. Some of these activities include planting trees, picking up garbage and litter, recycling and organizing materials, the showing of educational films, and even the distribution of petitions to raise awareness. There are so many small steps we can take to help our environment thrive, like conserving water, thinking sustainably, volunteering and staying educated so that we can always remember to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Environmental is our middle name (literally) and we would love to talk with you and assist in any way we can!
